NEW ACCESSIBLE PLAY PARKS PLANNED FOR MANSFIELD

Mansfield District Council has announced plans to create six new accessible play spaces across the district, funded through the Government’s Pride in Place Impact Fund.

The aim is to make local parks more inclusive and enjoyable for children and young people of all abilities.

The initial locations are:

🛝 Pencil Park⚽ Ladybrook Park – new MUGA🌳 Peafield Park🌳 The Carrs🏘️ Oak Tree Estate🌳 Manor Park

The council says the project will focus on accessibility and removing barriers that can prevent some children and families from using local play areas.

A public consultation has now been launched, and residents are being asked what they would like to see in the new spaces.

The council is especially keen to hear from:
